Now it's time for the Ravens to play the role of the villains. Everyone is so thrilled that the Colts have come so far. A team that won like two games last year, now has a coach that spent most of the season dealing with cancer, a team rallied behind him and a rookie quarterback who has carried the team on his back, managed to get ten wins and get into the playoffs, where the coach that missed most of the season will once more be on the sideline for them. It sounds like something straight from Hollywood. Even more so with it being against a team that Pagano used to coach for (he was the Raven's DC). If the Colts win, then no matter what happens next, all the people can say that the Colts defied the odds one more time and won a playoff game on the road. So if the Ravens are the team to take them out in the first round, then they're the bad guys. Especially if it's a blow out. As a side note, it wouldn't shock me if this did become a movie. |

49ers won the division and have a week off. Now all I have to say is the Seahawks are a good home team. But since they are away it doesn't matter.(First match up for them is RG3's Skins. and they are on fire) |

By the way, Rex Ryan is vacationing in the Bahamas right now. Real f**king nice. That's what the coach of a 6-10 team should be doing. FIRE THIS F**KING CLOWN. |

In fairly big news, Ray Lewis announced that this is in fact his final season. He's been the starting middle/inside linebacker for the entire history of the team, ever since they moved to Baltimore, and it'll certainly be odd not seeing him around next season. Though, it wouldn't shock me if he became the defensive coordinator for the Ravens. My picks for the wildcard weekend: Ravens over the Colts: The Colts are good, but I don't think they're good enough to beat the Ravens in Baltimore, especially after the Ravens' offense got its swagger back in that win over the Giants. Bengals over the Texans: The Texans have struggled recently and I think the Bengals can pull off the upset. Seahawks over the Redskins: I think the Seahawks can stop the Redskins rushing attack, while being able to run on the Redskins defense. Packers over the Vikings: I just don't think the vikings can pull off two upset victories in a row. |

The Bengals are facing Texas again. This year it's redemption time. This year we we go all the way and win their division. I know that they can do it. |

The Bengals ended up lucky to only lose by 6 points. If the Texans were any better in the redzone, that would have been a blowout. Also, Colts OC Bruce Arians is in the hospital with some illness. They get one coach out of the hospital and have another go in. Though it's been announced that he'll be fine. Edited by Shadow Dragon, Jan 6 2013, 12:17 PM.

Christ, Wilson is so good. It got me thinking: I don't think the Jets have ever had any kind of decent quarterback play, save for maybe 1 or 2 of Namath's early years, Vinny Testaverde's 1998 season, and half a season with Pennington's debut in 2002. So we're talking like 4 years of good qb play from Jets qb's. It's unbelievable. It just seems like most franchise at one point or another have an elite quarterback play for multiple seasons. As a Jet fan, I've never seen that. Sanchez had his moments, especially in 2010, but guys like Wilson RG3, etc, are just on another level. The Jets NEED a qb like that. It's like an impossible journey to find one. Edited by beastman721, Jan 6 2013, 07:10 PM.

I really liked that the Ravens had Ray Lewis come onto the field for the final kneel down play. Nice little goodbye to him in his final home game. |

A good running game helps develop him. The Jets couldn't keep their running game going for a couple more seasons because the league is changing to a QB league. It would take a couple of years to fully develop Sanchez to a "Great QB" |

I'm at a point where I really want the Ravens and Texans to win over the weekend. Not because of having anything against the Broncos or Patriots and it's not because I'm a Ravens fan (well, ok, it's a little because of that). It's because all of the so called experts on ESPN and NFL Network and all the other sports writers are talking about it as if it's a given fact that the Patriots and Broncos will win. It's like these games are just a formality before the AFC championship game that everyone knows is coming. Was it that long ago that the 15-1 Green Bay Packers were one and down in the playoffs? Have people forgotten all the other times where a team dominated during the regular season and didn't do well in the playoffs (Colts under Peyton Manning anyone?). |

Oh by the way, Rex Ryan, who just presided over a disastrous 6-10 season has complete control of the franchise. Is this some kind of sick dream? For real, my nightmares were nothing compared to some of the losses I've had to endure this season. Need I mention the butt-fumble? which could have the same residual effect as......... Dare I say it? .... The Fake Spike ..... Edited by beastman721, Jan 8 2013, 10:57 PM.

That game was fucking amazing. One of the best I've seen a long time. Got to give it to the Ravens for not ever giving up and sticking with the Broncos the whole time. |

I miss playoff football. Makes me really appreciate the runs the Jets had in '09 and '10. Gotta hand it to the Ravens, that was an all-time win, and for the Broncos, a horrific collapse marked by unusual mistakes, especially with regard to Peyton manning making a brutal, brett favre-esque pick in O.T. to seal the deal for the Ravens (after the kick). That 75 yard pass was a thing of beauty, I mean that's something straight out of madden. It's easy to say Denver's secondary blew it, but what a throw by Flacco and what a catch. Spank the pats next week in the afc title. Edited by beastman721, Jan 12 2013, 11:31 PM.

The thing that really shocked me about that win, was the Ravens O-line. This is a line that has struggled in a lot of games during the season and just recently go shuffled around again; yet they were able to stop some great pass rushers two weeks in a row. |
