Well at the end of the Odyssey, Odysseus wins.... but that took 10 years. So go Jets! Also I thought it was a pretty sure thing that the Ravens would win. Also that was total bs about the 109 (108) yard punt return. I felt they should've given it to him. He deserved it. |

Call me crazy, but I think as the Harbaughs met after the game for the handshake, Jim (49ers coach) said to John "It was a penalty" referencing the hold on the Ravens 4th and goal stand. I'm not a 100% sure he did say it, but if he did, man you got to get over it, there's no way Crabtree catches it; Kaepernick lofted it out of bounds after getting hit by a blitzing Ed Reed, it was out of bounds, no chance for a play there. But geeze, what atrocious play-calling in the red zone. That was bad. BAD. I felt like they tried to get too smart, to burn off too much time. It bit them in the ass big time, the Ravens sent the house and it worked. Sometimes you just have to punch the damn thing in. I felt like the 9ers got too cute in the red zone. Also, heads up play by the Ravens punter, that endzone jiggle burned like 8 crucial seconds off the clock. |

Doesn't matter who wins or loses, the Harbaugh family wins.

I love how the one guy on NFL network put it when they were showing the highlights. "Now we have a highlight from the punter. That's right, that's how you take a safety to win the Superbowl. Take notes kids, this is textbook safety taking." |

And the refs. I still think the game was poorly called. |

It's gotta suck for 49ers fans, you never take these moments for granted, not one bit. Even though they have a good young core of players, they have to keep that influx of talent coming in. Two years ago, the Jets were 5 points away from the Super Bowl. Following that devastating AFC title game loss, everyone was saying they had a good young core of Darrelle Revis, Mark Sanchez, Shonn Greene, etc. Now, two years later, they're the laughing stock of the league because they failed to have a good stream of talent coming in, they tried to be cheap on offense and it blew up in their face; Sanchez may be beyond repair, and a devastating injury to Revis may derail his potential Hall of Fame career That's why you never take those kind of post-season runs for granted. You never know when it can all come crashing down. Usually, it happens when you least expect it. I'm not saying something similar will happen to the 49ers, but you never know for certain. It's happened to other teams too, just look at the early/mid 2000s McNabb-era Eagles and you'll see what I mean. |

No I'm not, I'm saying I know how it feels, it totally sucks. Jets lost the AFC title cause of shity redzone play calling too.

But you guys are the Jets. The 49ers are much different. For one the 49ers have a QB as a coach. For two he doesn't like losing. And for three you guys don't have 5 superbowls. |

Gotta love the Ravens victory parade: "These fans have been so patient waiting 12 years for another Super Bowl victory." 12 looooooong years... Try 44. /bitterjetsfanrant Edited by beastman721, Feb 5 2013, 02:25 PM.

The calling was fairly consistent and the 49ers got some breaks from the refs too (hell of an acting job by Akers during that roughing the kicker penalty). In the end, the 49ers shot themselves in the foot and sucked during most of that game. You can't blame the refs for that. If it wasn't for the blackout, I think that game would have ended up as a blowout anyways. Edited by Shadow Dragon, Feb 6 2013, 05:45 AM.
