So proud of my Ravens and my Flacco. Sucks I can't go to the parade, gotta work.
And the refs.

I still think the game was poorly called.
The calling was fairly consistent and the 49ers got some breaks from the refs too (hell of an acting job by Akers during that roughing the kicker penalty). In the end, the 49ers shot themselves in the foot and sucked during most of that game. You can't blame the refs for that.

If it wasn't for the blackout, I think that game would have ended up as a blowout anyways.
That was only one penalty. See the other penalties.

The 49ers were charged with many more than the Ravens. Now the Ravens weren't expecting the Refs to give them some calls. ( I think only three penalties was ever called on them.)

One was the offsetting penalty that #29 should have gotten kicked out on.
One was the Roughing the passer.
and one was the kicker one.

Yeah I counted only three.

What really doomed the 49ers was the red-zone play calling. I know I've said it before, but it can't be understated.

They had the Ravens reeling, they should have just had Kaepernick run it in there himself. Each time he dropped back to pass I bet the Ravens D breathed a sigh of relief; it's easier to defend the pass in the red/end zone than it is a QB scramble.

Jim Harbaugh knows he blew it with that play calling.

The 49ers also got away with hitting Flacco out of bounds, which would have gotten the Ravens a new set of downs within the ten yards of the endzone. That not only would have given the Ravens another chance at a touchdown, ending the game right then and there, but they could have also killed another two minutes of clock. That non-penalty and the bad roughing the kicker call is what let the 49ers stay in the game. Also, they got away with just as much holding on their defense. Their O-line held quite a bit too.

As for the final play, Crabtree was the one that initiated the contact. That would have been offensive pass interference or offsetting penalties. Besides, it's moot point anyways since that pass was too far out of bounds.

Exactly.

I've been saying this the whole time, that's why it shouldn't even really be debatable since there was no way Crabtree was catching it anyway, which defeats the whole purpose of the penalty.

It was a good no-call. The ball wasn't catchable.

Not the way I saw it it look like pass interfence. But what do I know Crabtree was held during the whole play. I watch the replays so.

Bump.

NFL draft's coming up, Jets have two first round picks, 9 and 13 (the pick they got in the Revis trade) moving forward, this could really be a seminal draft for the Jets if they plan on competing in two or so years.

My bet is the Jets move down from 13, trading that pick to the Niners, as the word is the Niners want to move up, and the Jets are strongly interested in moving down

Whatever team you root for, the draft is a fun night.

GOODELL HUGS FOR EVERYONE!

Well, the Ravens have twelve picks and a knack for finding solid players later in the draft. I'm confindent that the Ravens GM will find some good players.

This year, will it be 'Go Jets, go!' or once again 'Woe Jets, woe!" I guess this thread now encompasses the 2013 edition as well, eh?

Hahah that fail. Seriously he just runs straight into one of his own teammates that just stands there and drops the ball because of it.

lol, yep. It's known colloquially as "The Butt Fumble" and it's probably one of the most embarrassing football bloopers of the past 20+ years. Also, that play happened on national television (Thanksgiving Night) and it was against the Jet's biggest rival.

Maybe the lowest I've felt as a fan. And that's really saying something.

And it'll be "woe jets woe" Wry, they're gonna stink. Big time.

I'm no draft expert at all, but this draft is supposed to be very deep from picks 1-30 or so, meaning it's not like a top heavy draft where there's a significant drop-off in talent after the first few picks, it's a pretty consistent talent level through the first two rounds.

I'm very excited, Jets have a ton of possibilities, but I'd rather have more picks, and would love to see them trade down at #13 to the 49ers.

Why u so pessimistic, Chris? Maybe someone will replace their linemen with Krogans. Hmmm. Would that help?

So, the Jaguars, Vikings, and Dolphins are getting new uniforms. The Jaguars' new helmet looks awful. They kept a similar logo but the rest of the helmet is gold now.
