I agree. It would have taken a hell of an athletic play just to keep the interception from happening, let alone for him to catch the ball.

Gonna be a fun game at Cleveland this week, only just realized I won't be able to watch it since I'll be out of town for most of the weekend. fml.

I was just thinking about how some franchises seem to never be able to get good quarterback play ever. And by some franchises, I'm of course talking about the Browns and Jets, hell even the Lions have a good quarterback now.

Have there ever been two franchises with worse luck at that position? Both franchises were successful early on, Browns having their early NFL dynasty, and the Jets wining SB III, but for the past 40 some-odd years, it's just been a never ending cycle of also-rans and guys who you think have it, but end up getting hurt or stinking up the joint for some inexplicable reason.

Anyway, enough musing. If the Jets don't nab the 6 seed, I'm pulling for the Browns. I wanna see some have-nots win once in a while.

The last time the Browns had a good quarterback was when the team moved to Baltimore, Vinny Testaverde. Since the team was remade in 99, they haven't had franchise quarterback.

The Browns are about to lose to Jacksonville. I need to just fake my own death and come back a Saints fan.

Seriously though, at this point, I'm not even concerned about seeing this team have any kind of post season success, now or ever really, I just want to for once in my life, see a good quarterback play for this miserable franchise. To be perfectly honest, in my whole life as a Jets fan, I've seen one, ONE year where I thought "damn this guy's great" and that was Chad Pennington's rookie year in 2002. What happened after that? Pre-season shoulder injury, surgery, noodle arm, glue factory.

Also, they've scored 6 points in two weeks. GTFO with that shit. I'm tired of seeing like 39 yards total offense when they show the first half summary stats. Jesus f**king christ.

In all honesty, this team just makes me sad. I've been pretty much beaten down at this point. All I really do is shake my head in disgust and shrug my shoulders when they play the way they have the past 3 weeks. I keep telling myselft one day it will all be worth it...

But I know better than that.

You guys have the Super Bowl as yer NFL celebration. I was going to ask you what the cup looks like but it looks like you guys win a football on a pillar.

That pass interference call in the Browns-Pats game was absolutely brutal. You simply can't make that call in that spot. And to be honest, I think the call as a whole is pretty terrible, it shouldn't be a spot of the foul play, IMO it should just be something like 10 or 15 yards from the line of scrimmage and an automatic first down.

Awful, awful call.

All things considered, I'm kinda happy the Jets got a win today. It stops the free-fall a little and is a little moral victory in a what's been a maddeningly frustrating season.

I don' t know what Geno Smith's future is, but I'm not willing to give up on him until I seem with at least a passable supporting cast at WR/TE and even OL. The skill positions this year, outside of (sometimes) RB have been outright brutal to say the least.

Hopefully they shore up the skill positions in next year's draft and try and sign some guys for depth purposes. The absence of Holmes and Kerley this season pretty much doomed the passing game, and outside of a pretty awesome win in Atlanta on MNF, the passing game was just awful this season, they need depth and talent.

It's been a pretty meh season, but they're a young team, and still inconsistent. It's going to take a few years for them to really gel, especially on offense. They still won't win anything until they get the passing game going though, at some point, this team has to get it right in the air, they can't keep neglecting the skill positions forever. If you have a legit Qb and passing game, you have a great chance to win any game, under any circumstance, hopefully they can address that this offseason, and try to make a run at the wild card next year.

The endings of some of the games on Sunday were amazing. Especially the Ravens vs Vikings game, with five touchdowns in the final two minutes, five seconds.

I had to stop watching the game when the browns had a 12 point lead with two minutes to go, and I left knowing that only some really dumb shit could screw the browns over in the end, and hey, I was right.

But Campbell is looking solid, and even though he's a pretty seasoned player with not much room to grow as an individual athlete, he has plenty of ground to cover with the team.

Continuing with this, though it really should be called 2014 Edition now.

I'm thinking Broncos for the Super Bowl. How about you?
