I loved watching the Ravens offense show how much they've improved. Here's hoping that they can keep it up for the rest of the season.

I want the Jets to kill the Steelers tomorrow. I want blood on that field, those sons of bitches took my dream of seeing my favorite team get to the superbowl away. They stole it, those bastards. I'll never get over it until the Jets finally win one.

Fuck Pittsburgh. That field is a house of fucking horrors for the Jets.

I hope a fucking black hole appears and sucks that piece of shit field up along with all the band-wagon douchebag fans with it.

Oh, and fuck their rapist quarterback too.

It ain't even worth it. I edited out my rant, I just don't care anymore. Its week 2, shitty loss but whatever. We're gonna find out what this Jets team is made of over the next few weeks. I still say this is an 8 win team at the most.

It just sucks that they come out and own Buffalo, and then just completely shit the bed against the Steelers. Enough with this Jekyll and Hyde act, they've got to play better fundamental football.

Time to cowboy up, but if they beat the Dolphins next week they better not be pounding their chest like they just knocked off the Pats.

Its a long season, gotta have some perspective but this one hurts. Wanted to see them win in Pittsburgh and get a bit of redemption for falling short there in the AFC championship game 2 years ago. It doesn't matter though, only a Super Bowl victory is gonna take that pain away. Util then, it's just another disappointment in this franchises' 4 decade Odyssey to get back to the Super Bowl.

Ravens lost when they shouldn't have. The play calling from the offensive coordinator was horrible. Wasn't that much better for the defense either. Thanks to that the Eagles now have two games that they won by a point but shouldn't have.

Also, the replacement refs really fucking suck. Just pay the damn real refs and move on.

I'm just so frustrated with how this Jets team is built, with a "ground and pound" defense and run first mentality. You don't win championships in today's NFL with defense, you do it with offense. Sure, defense is important, but really if you have the qb and the offense the defense just has to not fuck it up. I mean really, this Jets front office decides to try and win a title in a way that's only been done twice before: the 2000 Ravens and the 2002 Bucs had a defense first mentality.

This jets offense is so bereft of talent and speed because most first-round draft picks in the past 5 or so years have been on defense. So we have a defense full over-rated players constantly being told by our jackass of a head coach they're the best in the league, and an offense that's lost, has no identity, and just plain sucks.

Add to that the fact that the defense IS NOT THAT GOOD. This ain't the f**kin 2000 ravens, it ain't even close. This jets defense can't even get to the quarterback without sending the house, and even when they do blitz, they rarely get to the qb in time.

Its frustrating to be a fan of this team, maddening, because they're not doing it right. You NEED an offense, you NEED a quarterback who can game. Is Mark Sanchez that guy? Well, he's been to two AFC championship games and played well in both, but he was let down by his "best in the league" defense both times.

One thing to add to what Beastman said, the 2000 Ravens and the 2002 Bucs were two of the greatest defenses in history. Hell, the 2000 Ravens have the record for allowing the fewest points allowed in a season and had four shutouts during the season. Despite that, the Ravens won their playoff games and the superbowl because their passing game and special teams came up big when they had to. If they didn't, then they would have lost. Same goes for the Bucs. Without an offense that you can count on when the chips are down, you're not going to become a champion.

A team with a tenth ranked offense and an eleventh ranked defense will win more often than a team with a third ranked defense and a twentieth ranked defense. All about balance and having talent on both sides of the ball.

Exactly my point, Shadow Dragon. As prolific as those two defenses were, the offense, more specifically, the passing game, made big plays in big moments and ultimately won them their championships. Heck, the '02 Bucs ran a complex west-coast passing system run by offensive guru Jon Gruden.

The Jets need not look further than 1998, when they won 12 regular season games and won their first division title since the 1970 afl-nfl merger. They had a top 10-ranked offense led by Vinny Testaverde, who set a jets record with 28 passing td's, and had one of the best wide receiver tandems in the league with Wayne Chrebet and Keyshawn Johnson.

Even in the playoffs at the end of the 2009, and 2010 seasons the Jets' passing game made big plays. At times Sanchez struggled, but he's proven he can make big throws in big moments, and he has, and the Jets came within one game of the super bowl, but the defense sputtered and got picked apart by peyton manning in one afc title game, and got abused by the steelers' run game in another.

At least the Browns have heritage and were one of the most dominant and important NFL teams in history during the 50s and 60s. They had some good teams too in the 80s but couldn't get past the Broncos. It doesn't matter though, the Broncos got steam-rolled in those super bowls, there's no way the Browns would have won.

The jets history involves one moment, specifically one game of glory. The rest is horse shit, full of miserable losing seasons, late-season collapses, epic meltdowns, and playoff heart-break, among other things.
