Also, tried to edit the title to simply "NFL Football" since the "2012 edition" is a little dated...but I could not, I got Error Code: 17101:1184065. Mods?

*wink wink*
Wish granted.

Nah don't worry Wry, it's just par for the course when you root for the worst franchise in the universe not named the Cleveland Browns (sorry Unfie :/).
..Fuck the truth of your claim

Thanks Sin!

Sorry again Unfie, felt pretty bad writing that.... Seriously though I've always pulled for the Browns, really want to see them get a playoff berth and make some noise. There's also only 4 years that separates the Browns' last championship and the Jets' last (and only) championship so you're not alone in the world of suck!

Hopefully one of Hoyer or Manziel can get them on the right track. Losing Gordon hurts though, I love how he gets banned a year for using pot but Ray Rice knocks out his wife and gets two games. /NFL.

Anywho, fun begins Thursday, wooooo

Well, the Ravens did pretty well in the preseason. Most of their draft picks had times of looking pretty good. Can't wait for the start of the season to put the bad season last year to rest.
I kinda think the Flacco contract was a bad idea but in the long run I don't think it's really all that terrible, bad contracts are easy to deal with in NFL. He's got a tremendous post season resume, so you have to think if they could just get there they'd make a run. It takes a special kind of QB to win like that on the road, Flacco has them all beat in that department.

So, would you say these two teams are like the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NFL?

Actually, it's a perfect analogy; both teams play in big markets and haven't been to the big one in 40+ years, lots of painful moments along the way too.

Maybe this is the victory year... is there a chance the Jets can play against the Browns or do the rules say no to that?

Oh no they're in the same conference so they play each other every now and then, but it's often times a meaningless game because both teams are usually out of it when they play each other, like last year for instance.

So either way, the fans lose? Meanwhile, up north, it's the CFL Prairies Labour Day extravaganza. Next week it's the legendary...

Yeah, you can make the argument that he was overpaid, especially when you look at his regular season numbers. But I'm ok with overpaying him a bit when you consider that other teams would give anything to have a quarterback that can win on the road in the playoffs. For the first time in Ravens history, they have a quarterback they can trust to win them the game, instead of just trying to have someone that won't lose the game for them.

Well, that ended up being a fairly one sided affair.

Two turnovers, 7 penalties, and losing to the Raiders. Yup, sounds like the Jets are back.
