Welp, the pick is a conditional 4th at best (could also be a 5th or 6th), which I think is fine compensation to have a legit playmaker on offense and special teams. Like I stated above, my fear is that Geno struggles and Harvin doesn't get enough touches and as a result becomes a locker room cancer. Not that it matters much now though because they're 1-6. The best thing this does is help the Jets evaluate Geno better. Yes they're out of it but they now can further evaluate what they have in Geno now that they actually have some semblance of a receiving corp.

Still worried about that O-line, this team needs a franchise guard in the worst way.

The Browns' absolute worst game all season, particularly with Hoyer. Poor play throughout, and every time they had a huge break he did nothing with it. 12 completed passes out of 35? Fuck yoooouuuu

What the hell happened to Cincy? They do great until suddenly the Patriots and Colts destroy them with ease. Never thought I'd see them get shut out like that. Also, gotta give credit to the Rams for holding onto that lead and winning this week.

That was a trap game. They're still .500 in a weak AFC, ya gotta believe Unfie!

You're right, I can't give up hope now. I was just sayin things earlier I didn't mean. It sucked but on the bright side it's a lesson that the Browns aren't just some comeback city team who are spontaneously gonna win every game now, even against a low tier team like Jacksonville

They're still a really young team that's learning how to win and learning how to put worth consistent effort every week. I think they'll be fine in the end.

Dallas had a huge win against the Giants, clutch drive engineered by Romo to get a field goal late in the 4th that clinched it. Dallas teams in the past have had some pretty unreal meltdowns against the Giants, good on them for keeping their composure and responding after the Giants pulled to within 7.

The sad part with the Browns is that they could be doing so much better if they didn't mess up their draft. If they stayed at 4, they could have had Hoyer throwing to Sammy Watkins. Even with moving back to 9, they could have gotten Anthony Barr or Beckham Jr. But, I can understand picking Gilbert in the top ten, since they thought he could be a good man to man corner (he still might become one, I know it took Jimmy Smith awhile to live up to his potential for the Ravens). It was a calculated move that just hasn't payed off quite yet (if it will).

But then they had to trade their other first round pick for Manziel. They could have gotten Kelvin Benjamin, Dominique Easly, or Bradly Roby. Or hell, taken Joel Bitonio late in the first and gotten Jordan Matthews early in the second.

Without trading around for their future quarterback (when they should have just gone all in on Hoyer), they could have one, maybe two more wins this season.

This Jets team is really, really bad.

It's not even the end of the first quarter and Geno Smith already has thrown three interceptions.

THREE. In the FIRST QUARTER.

And one looks like it was just run back for a TD. Jesus Christ.

Buttfumble or not, Sanchez never reached this level of abject fuckness, I can't see how or why Geno should even get another snap this season. He's done.

Absolutely, worst Jets team I've ever seen in my life. Very, very real chance this team is 2-14, hell they could even lose out and go 1-15, it's not like they're staring down at anybody; they're at rock bottom.

To sum it all up, I'm about as dejected as I've ever been about the present and future of this team. A high draft pick means nothing if they don't draft right. They absolutely must, MUST have a knockout draft in April. These picks have to turn out better than they have, and moreover they desperately need a veteran QB to restore some stability and dignity to that position.

Is it the offensive line? Defensive line? What's the issue, Beastman?

Mainly, as it has been for the past 45 years, the problem lies at the QB position. They've actually got a good defensive line, but the secondary needs massive help and the offensive line isn't faring much better. With the addition of Percy Harvin they've at least have some respectabillity at the skill positions but could definitely use another WR, especially one with size to help in the redzone.

I've said it before, but this team needs, NEEDS a veteran QB to come and just stabilize the damn position for once. Someone like a Carson Palmer, hell even what Kyle Orton's doing for Buffalo right now is a good example. IMO they shouldn't draft a QB in this draft no matter how high they end up picking. They need help at other areas and ushering in a rookie QB in this kind of situation is a disaster waiting to happen, especially considering (as far as I know) there's no bonafide franchise QB in this draft.

This is the kind of season where you pretty much have no choice but to clean house. As much as the front office and GM are to blame, Rex absolutely has to take his share too. His myopic view of the game (defense first) just can't get the job done. I'm not breaking out the pitchfork and torch, but he has to go, and I'd even go a step further and say that the whole coaching staff needs to go, as well as most of the front office.

Still though, it all comes back to the QB position. As nice as it would be to have some big playmakers on offense, they ain't gonna do s**t unless you have someone who can consistently put the ball in their hands. The Jets haven't had that for years now, and it's what they desperately need.

A new coach, a proven vet QB, and I think this team could be halfway decent. Right now though, I think it's for the best if they implode, bottom out, and lose out the rest of the way just to drive the point home that this team needs not just a change, but a damn intervention. A top 5 pick in next year's draft wouldn't hurt either.
