Although I wanted him gone after the atrocious 2012 seasons, I wanted Rex and his entire coaching staff gone even more. Mark is a decent QB but he's more than good enough to win a SB with the right supporting cast. He won 4 road playoff games and played well in just about all of them, and he also put together two solid games in the AFC title match. He was always a classy dude and I wish him well, and it just goes to show how atrocious the Jets personnel decisions were following 2010, even now 4 years on they're still suffering from those decisions and they'll continue to be a terrible team until they can find some playmakers on both sides of the ball. It's just a miserable season and I'll submit that the thing they need the most is an offensive-minded head coach who can groom a QB. They need to start putting their QBs in position to succeed, for once. |

Ah well, what can you do. They suck now but maybe they won't suck as bad next year, who knows. The team doesn't get me down as much as they used to because there's just zero expectations now, as there was last year also. Also, here's the butt TD I was talking about earlier:

Rams beat the 49ers. The Rams may be a bad team, but they are doing a decent job of being a thorn in the side of their division rivals. |

Big matchups tonight and Thursday for the AFC North. Will be interesting to see who runs away with that division. Really pulling for the Browns. HOLLA UNFIE! Where you at?! Ugly win but the Browns keep rolling. A win on Thursday puts them in real good position. I'm excited to see this team do well. I can't root for them too hard though or else the taint of my Jets fandom will rub off on the Browns. I'll keep my distance put I'm pulling for them, hopefully the football gods don't take notice and and cause a lot of butt-related plays for the Browns too.

Okay, here he is... straight from Sims 2 for the football aspiration failure!![]() He accepts grilled cheese sammies and llama jokes as payment. Seriously though. Are there any other teams you like Beastman? Or a really good player on the Jets team? Something to make you smile.

Bleh. Last night's game sucked. The Ravens really need an overhaul at receiver. Steve Smith is great and all but it seems like if a team can shut him down, that's it. The passing offense will just kinda suck after that point. Right now, the second best receiver for the Ravens is Michael Campanaro. That's not a knock on Camp, who could turn out to be a poor man's Wes Welker and a real steal of the 2014 draft. But, when a seventh round rookie can become the second best on the team just by being a reliable slot receiver, something is wrong. Marlon Brown just dropped off the face of the Earth, Jacoby can't catch a cold, and Torrey Smith is constantly being bullied by cornerbacks. |

Did I mention I hate the Steelers? Because I hate the freakin' Steelers. Ravens just need to focus on getting into the playoffs. They've got the magic man on the road at QB, even if they're the #6 you gotta believe they can make a run of it because of Flacco. Edited by beastman721, Nov 3 2014, 10:15 PM.

Well... fuck. Jimmy Smith, the only top talent the Ravens have in their secondary at the moment, is done for the season. So, two of the top three corners of the Ravens are done (nickleback Asa Jackson being the other one). To top it off, the veterans that filled in for them the last couple weeks have been released (can't blame the Ravens for that, those two kinda sucked). Now the number 2 and 3 corners will be an undrafted rookie, and a former undrafted player with very little experience. I will say, the two guys do sound confident and like they really want the chance to prove themselves ( http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/New-Cornerbacks-Aim-To-Get-Secondary-On-Track/37060265-3cda-4912-98af-a1846ca2386b ) but I'm worried about them facing off against some of the quarterbacks left on the Ravens schedule (Rivers, Brees, Tannenhill, and Hoyer). |
