http://mitchribar.com/2013/02/how-to-stop-youtube-sucking-windows-guide/ I've been having a TON of problems at home with YouTube loading slow. I've done a few tricks at home, but nothing seemed to help. Stumped upon this article and I figured I'd share. From Reddit: "Why do these commands create a better streaming experience? TWC is throttling downloads from servers (CDN) that host cached videos. By rejecting these IP address ranges you will force the video to be served to you directly. This harnesses the full download speed of your internet connection. Other people can dive into the complexity much better than I ever could, but that’s the overall theme." |

This is also achievable through your router's firewall, if you for some reason don't want to go through cmd (I did it through router) Spoiler: click to toggle EDIT: I tested this a few days ago, and I'm now able to fully stream 1080p videos all the time... However, I couldn't tell if it's because of blocking the IP's, or because I now have fiber. Edited by savepoints, Mar 26 2013, 09:53 AM.

Sadly, after getting to the right directory (C:windows/system32), I copy and past that command in and it just says that the command wasn't found. Granted, my computer is also pretty old and uses Windows XP, so that's the likely reason.

I'm still not sure what it does exactly but it runs definitely smoother. Which is great, since I have syrup-speed connection. Just poke me with a stick occasionally to write a "block Recommended For You tutorial" . |

I'm not really having issues with YouTube loading. Clearing your cache often also helps. |
