You're topdecking and have 600 Life Points left. Your opponent has 1600 LP and an End of Anubis on the field. You draw a Nobleman of Crossout. What do you do? You attempt to bluff your opponent, of course! First of all, you can't appear distraught over what you just drew. Appear cool and confident. This may give your opponent a few stirrings of nervousness. The other things you do will depend on your opponent. Is your opponent one who charges blindly ahead no matter what your side of the field looks like? In that case, you probably won't be able to bluff, but keep that trait in mind for future duels. However, let's say your opponent is a more cautious player. She (we'll just say this imaginary opponent is a girl) knows that if she attacks into Mirror Force, Sakuretsu, or Cylinder, she's toast if you draw a monster with more than 1600-atk during your next turn. Keep a confident smile on your face as you end your turn, but don't say anything like, "Hahahaha, my Mirror Force will defeat you!" She won't buy anything so blatant. Rather, as your opponent draws, keep your hand over your fd Nobleman of Crossout as if you're poised to activate it. Don't let your body language give you away. Keep yourself from fidgeting or otherwise acting nervous. If you can project a calm and happy persona, you may just trick your opponent. If my little brother is actually on the verge of winning, I just make the casual comment that I pulled a Mirror Force from a booster pack today. He's seven, so most of your opponents won't be nearly that easy to trick, but a well-timed bluff works wonders. But keep in mind that bluffing grows less successful the more you duel an opponent. You can twist that to your advantage by giving off subtle body language cues to make your opponent think you're bluffing when you really do have Mirror Force face-down. Unfortunately, it's just about impossible to effectively bluff if you're dueling online. |

lol, yah it is fun to bluff (if it works that is). You must try and play head games with your opponent. Make them uneasy, make them sweat too. Just have fun with it.
